The Real Cost of Opening a New Business

Sorry I’ve been MIA on this new project — in case you haven’t heard, I’m in the process of opening up an IRL content studio in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan! If you’re ever in the area, I’d love to give you a tour. (You can also sign up for news/events/updates on offerings here.)

Anyway, it got me thinking —

I’m a big believer in being open about business finances. Simply put, transparency makes us all stronger and more informed, and while I’ve done revenue breakdowns and income reports for my online business, I haven’t shared much about the studio yet.

TLDR: I’ve made nothing and spent a lot.

Hopefully that will change over the next ten months!
